Judy Bonds

Julia "Judy" Bonds is the outreach coordinator for Coal River Mountain Watch. She is a coal miner's daughter, granddaughter. She is an Appalachian American and her family has lived in the Coal River Valley in West Virginia for 10 generations.
Janice Nease

Janice Nease has been with CRMW since the beginning. She took over the Executive Director position in 2001. In addition to these duties, Janice also hits the road on the occasional speaking engagement.
Patty Sebok

Patty Sebok was born into a coal mining family and is the proud wife of an underground coal miner. She has two sons, ages 24 and 19. Patty was a stay at home mom until sharing the roads with coal trucks in her community got so dangerous that she became an activist.
Vernon Haltom

Vernon Haltom volunteered for CRMW for two years while teaching English at Mountain State
University before joining the staff in Fall 2005.
Sarah Haltom

Sarah Haltom joined CRMW as Communications Coordinator in the Fall of 2004. Sarah was born in Cleveland, OH, the granddaughter of a coal miner in one of the many out-migrations from West Virginia to Ohio.
Matt Noerpel

Matt Noerpel came to the Coal River Valley with
Mountain Justice Summer 2005. When the summer ended Matt stayed in the valley volunteering with CRMW until he was hired on as IT and environmental specialist in Fall of 2005.
